Will George, a member of the Tsleil-Waututh First Nation and self-proclaimed guardian of the Watchhouse, stands at the frontlines of a deeply personal and collective struggle. His voice carries across the land and water, shaped by generations of stewardship and an enduring responsibility to protect what has always been his people’s home. In moments of visible frustration, he speaks not only for himself, but for a community whose lives and livelihoods are inseparable from the health of their territory. Both protector and witness, he embodies a living resistance—grounded in culture, memory, and the unwavering belief that the land must be defended for those who came before and those yet to come.
