Born in Seattle, Washington, and raised in the creative atmosphere fostered by her father, a lifelong builder and architect, Rebecca's early years were steeped in the art of structure, form, and material. These influences quietly shaped her evolving aesthetic and deepened her appreciation for craft and design.

Rebecca began her artistic journey working with pen and ink, cold wax/oil, and ceramics: mediums that allowed her to explore color, surface, and the tactile nature of creation. Over time, her path led her to textiles—where she found a profound connection in stitching, layering, and constructing pieces with thread on paper. This medium, both delicate and enduring, became her voice—expressing stories that speak to landscape, memory, and the quiet spaces in between.

Now based in Telluride, Colorado, Rebecca draws inspiration from the sweeping vistas of the San Juan Mountains and the stillness of the surrounding wilderness. Her work is deeply informed by the rhythms of nature and the restorative solitude she finds during frequent retreats to the desert. The muted palette, shifting light, and expansive silence feed her sense of wonder and reflection, becoming an integral part of her creative rhythm. Whether in the mountains or the desert, she remains captivated by the raw beauty of the land and its ever-changing textures—reflected in each of her intricate, contemplative textile pieces.

Rebecca continues to exhibit her work and evolve her practice, staying rooted in the tactile and the hand-made, and always guided by a sense of place and a reverence for materials.
