This July, Fringe Gallery is pleased to present an exhibition of new paintings by Amy Van Winkle, featuring a compelling body of recent work created in her signature encaustic medium. Drawing inspiration from the expansive skies, shifting light, and mountainous landscapes of New Mexico and Colorado, Van Winkle’s paintings explore themes of space, time, transition, and memory through luminous layers of pigmented wax. Her compositions balance spontaneity with restraint, revealing subtle textures and depths that invite quiet contemplation. This exhibition showcases new works that reflect the artist’s ongoing fascination with atmosphere, landscape, and the emotional resonance of place.
Join us at Fringe for the opening reception on Thursday, July 2nd, from 5 - 7pm. The artist will be present, and refreshments will be served.
